Description
This historic round barn is located south of the rural Indiana Town of Albany and north of Selma. Barns of this design never enjoyed the popularity of more traditional square or rectangular structures, yet there is something very picturesque and nostalgic about them. The height of circular barn construction occurred between 1880 and 1920. Many of these quaint farm structures are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
In this color photograph a white round barn with black rook is featured. Atop the barn is a small cupola that mirrors the barn its self. The agricultural building is surround by a field of corn making it appear as it floats upon a sea of green and gold.
