Description
A metal sided tobacco barn stands in Pamlico County North Carolina. These structures were used to dry tobacco after harvesting. Once a major agricultural product of the South, with reduced tobacco use due to health concerns, Southern farmers had moved to growing other plants and these structures are disappearing from the landscape.
