Description
Gentle surf rolls in beneath the Oceanana Fishing Pier at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. A long exposure technique smooths the moving water providing an ethereal feel to this black and white sunset fine art photograph. Overcast skies help to add a dramatic feel.
The Oceanana is one of only two remaining fishing piers along the Crystal Coast. Over the years many of these structures, after being damaged by hurricanes, have been removed. In their place beach houses, restaurants or beach accesses built. The other remaining commercial pier along Bogue Banks is the Bogue Inlet pier at Emerald Isle.
