Artist's Description

This farm house takes on the appearance of a surf shack due to a surfboard leaning against the porch railing. Located in rural Pamlico county, at least an hour drive from the beach, the longboard seems out of place in this country setting. A woodlands area can be seen just behind the old blue home. The tall trees are shrouded in fog. A rusty metal roof and growths of brush overtaking parts of the porch add to the feeling of abandonment.
