Artist's Description
The handy work of a balck and yellow garden spider is seen in this photo of a back lit spider web. The photo was taken along the Elliot Coues Nature Trail in Fort Macon State Park at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. This NC park is located on the tip of Bogue Banks, one of the many barrier islands along the North Carolina coast.
About Bob Decker
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
