Artist's Description
An abandoned shed or small barn sits in ruins along an Onslow county North Carolina backroad. Its metal roof is rusting and its wood is rotting. This forgotten building was likely an important part of a family farm. It is now being reclaimed by nature. This county road lays between Swansboro and Jacksonville NC. Scenes like this are common in rural areas.

As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
