A small woodlot stands in a grassy field in East-Central Indiana. Many of the trees are afire with their autumn colors. The grass of the field is a bright, lush green. Somewhat dramatic clouds fill the sky overhead. Located in Randolph county, the farm is north and east of the rural community of Farmland and west of the county seat of Winchester.
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
