A beautiful wildflower, a Black Eyed Susan, blooms among ferns in the Croatan National Forest, North Carolina. Using nature's palate of greens and yellows, the ferns in the background create an interesting pattern behind the petals of the pretty, yellow wildflower.
About Bob Decker
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river.
