The autumn color change arrived a bit late this year along the Blue Ridge Parkway.. This image was taken at the Wooly Back Overlook a few miles from Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Fiery reds and oranges are tempered by lush green foliage. In the distance the hazy silhouettes of mountains can be seen. Clouds gather in the sky above. Such is the beauty of Fall in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
