Artist's Description

Built in 1936, this old building was the location of the Winston HIll and Sons Genearl Merchandise store. Located in Atlantic, North Carolina, a downeast community that was fairly remote at that time, the store likely provided groceries and drygoods to area fishermen and their families. With its arched facade, peeling paint and broken windows, this rustic old structure harkens back to time long past.
