Artist's Description
The "Fish House" sits along Taylor's Creek in North Carolina. Built in the 1940s by Capt. Louis Styron, this quaint little shack served as the family home until after the birth of his daughter. His child, Celia Faye Styron was born in the rustic little cabin. Not long after her birth, Mrs. Styron insisted the family move across the street, further from the water, for the safely of their child. Capt. Styron built a new home and the cozy little home became a workshop for the fisherman. Today the quaint little cottagle is owned and maintained by the daughter. It is a reminder of times past when things were simpler and Beaufort by the Sea was a fishing town.
About Bob Decker

I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
