Description
Color Fall foliage is seen along the tree line where the forest meets an open meadow in the Cataloochee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This bottoms area has the distinction of being the remotest portion of the park accessible by vehicle. Cove Creek Road, a long, winding gravel road provides the only way into and out of the mountain basin via car or truck. Cataloochee is well known as an excellent area for view Elk.
