Description
Seaoats, Uniola paniculata, growing along the beach section of the Ellito Couse Nature Trail at Fort Macon State Park. Located at Atlantic Beach North Carolina, this was the first state park to open in NC. This sea grass or dune grass is an import tool against sand erosion. These hardy plants also aid in the growth of the dune adding even more protection to the delicate shoreline.
