Artist's Description
This color photo provides and evening view of the ocean from Fort Macon State Park, Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. A small stand of sea oats sitting atop a small sand dune dominates the right half of this image. The left half provides a glimpse of the rock jetty with the sea along the horizon. There is a hint of red above the horizontal line formed by the ocean with wispy white clouds in the Carolina blue sky.
About Bob Decker
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
