Description
I had not previously photographed this particular tree. Simply put it was too tight to get a clear shot with the gear I had. However, after the acquisition of a new lens I was able to finally make an image of this lovely Live Oak. The scene is found in the Hoop Pole Creek Nature Preserve in Atlatnic Beach, North Carolina. The property harbors and protects a small section of maritime forest. One of the interesting natural attractions along the Crystal Coast, the reserve offers a short hiking trail leading through the woodland and out to a salt marsh wetland area.
