An Internatial Scout from the 1960s or 1970s sits in an old metal barn in rural Pamlico County North Carolina. These old four wheel drive vehicles were built to compete with Jeeps and were basically one of the earliest introductions of what we now know as the SUV..
I came upon this location while exploring the back roads of this rural area. I spotted three or four of these old 4x4 vehicles on the property. I can only guess that the propery owner is, or was a collector of these cars, or perhaps was active in off-roading. Regardless of why they were there, I found the mixture of crumbling vehicles and barn an interesting photographic subject.
