Artist's Description
While wild, there is a flock of Mallard Ducks that are quite habituated. They visit Union Point Park in New Bern, North Carolina where locals come to feed them. This city park sits along the river, near the convergence of the Neuse and Trent rivers. Consisting of 6 acres of land, the park is surrounded by water and features a lovely gazebo, several wooden benches and very nice waterfront views.
About Bob Decker
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
