I paid a visit to the Hoop Pole Creek Nature Preserve one early morning in May. I wanted to make a photo of this lovely Live Oak tree. While I had imaged this handsome tree before, I was looking to find an angle I had not tried before. The tree is a bit off the main trail in the preserve, though there is a faint visible path leading into the low lying area where it grows. It is one of several oaks of a similar age in this location and, in my opinion, is the most photographic of the lot. There are many oak trees, both young and old, grouwing in this unique litte piece of maritime forest located in the middle of the busy beach town of Atlantic Beack.
