Description
This lovely Live Oak tree is found along the Elliott Coues nature trail in Fort Macon State Park on Atlantic Beach North Carolina. Two very long limbs reach out towards the trail. One is just off the ground while the other is about head high. In this black and white photo the camera looks up the lower long limb with the upper limb leading in from the right hand corner above.

Beautifully seen and rendered, Bob, with a real feeling of Yin/Yang via the black branch reflecting the shape and opposite of the dark one. LF

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

This image is very effective in black and white with the right amount of contrast. Creative point of view in this shot.

You chose well with the black and white finishing. My eye was drawn by the ground level branch to the center of this magnificent tree. Well done! l/f
