This color photograph provides a view of Juney Whank falls in the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Found along the waterfalls loop hike in this recreation area just outside of Bryson City, North Carolina. In this scene with see the water flowing down the face of the cliff with the rock littered with autumn leaves.
About Bob Decker
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
