This historic home sits along the waterfront of Beaufort North Carolina. As one of the oldest communities in NC, many historic houses still stand here. Local lore includes stories of pirates, revolutionaries, torries, ghosts and rebels. Recently tauted as one of the best small towns in America, this small, old seaport town has become a popular tourist destination. With loads of Southern charm and a rich history, Beaufort by the Sea is a great place to visit and even better place to call home.
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
