Description
A tunnel is formed by shaping young saplings to a wooden framework at the Tryon Palace in New Bern, North Carolina. This colonial structure served as the Governor's home in colonial times. The gardens are a popular destination for visitors.
Also known as the Governor's Palace, this brick structure served as the residence for British governors from 1770 to 1775. The residence was seized by rebel forces in 1775 and eventually burnt to the ground. The current structure is a recreation of the building based on period architectural plans.
