Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

While visiting the New Bern Civil War Battleground Park I came upon this scene. I thought the fallen log surrounded by young ferns quite fetching. There is something more vivid about the greens in the Spring! The forest floor is a perfect example of the circle of life. A demonstration of new life arising from old. Placards designate locations were Confederate and Union forces clashed. A cypress swam borders one side of the park. There is a loop trail that runs adjacent to part of it. This first class recreational area provides the perfect mixture of history and nature.
The park is located on the edge of New Bern, the frist capital seat of North Carolina. There are several trails leading through the native forest. The paths are well maintained, many surfaced with fine gravel, and features wooden bridges and boardwalks crossing streams and wet areas.
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
