In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Artist's Description

An old barn is shrouded in thick fog in Pamlico County, North Carolina. The forest seeming encroaches upon this abandoned building. The weathered wooden structure seems as if it is slowly being devoured by the surrounding brush. This black and white photograph was made along a country road in this rural eastern NC county on February 28, 2021.

As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences.
