Providiing a serene location for a rest along the Elliot Couse Nature Trail, a park bench sits next to a sprawling Live Oak tree. The park, located in Atlantic Beach North Carolina, features three trials, a visitor center and a Civil War era fort. This, the longest of the trails, passes through maritime forest, passed wetlands and over sand dunes along its three and a half mile path.. Beginning and ending in the main parking area, the trail provides a nice loop for nature lovers and folks looking to improve their physical fitness.
