Artist's Description
A look at the beach access path near the bath house at Fort Macon State Park, Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. The setting sun and sea oats adds interest to this view. Footprints in the sand testify to the popularity of this access path. A low dune and a fence to discourage visitors from climbing it can be seen on the right side of the image. In the background the Atlantic Ocean is seen with a strip of orange sky and blue-violet clouds above.
About Bob Decker
I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
