Description
A hiking trail runs adjacent to a slow moving stream in the Croatan National Forest. The trees are aglow with autumn foliage. The path makes a gentle curve to the left while the stream meanders to the right.
The Island Creek Forest Walk is a short hiking trail located in the Croatan National Forest on the eastern North Carolina coastal plain. There is actually a large complex of trails here. Only a short 1/4 mile loop is official. The National Forest Service removed the blazes and maps showing the other trails as they were created without NFS permission and allegedly impact archeological significant areas.
