Description
When one thinks of the coast they tend to envision the beach.. And yes, beaches are beautifully magic places. But hiding in the rural areas near these popular tourist attractions these lovely scenes hide. Tidal creeks, marshes and estuaries. They have a beauty of their own and are an important part of the coastal ecosystem. This scenic view is located in rural eastern North Carolina only a few miles from the sound, ocean and beach. A lovely scene that the tourists often fail to see.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
