Artist's Description

A 1911A semi-automatic pistol is shown with a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Two loose 45 ACP cartridges and a full magazine are seen below the gun. Above and beneath the firearm and document is a camo patter cloth. this color photo implies the essence of the 2nd amendment, of patriotism and of the America Revolution's effect on modern history.

I've always been a bit of an adventurer as well as being fascinated by the art and craft of photography. As a boy my folk hero was Daniel Boone. When on family camping trips I'd often go hiking where I'd allow my young imagination to run crazy with images of being an early colonial explorer blazing the way into the unknown wilderness. As an adult my activities have included hiking, kayaking, spelunking, wreck and cave diving and other adventurous outdoor experiences. I always feel drawn to see what lies down that old dirt road, hides behind the next hill, or awaits further down the river. It's been said I suffer severely from the Star Trek syndrome: "To boldly go..." My photography is simply an extension of my thirst for knowledge, desire...
